RTU is a kind of remote control device which used for surveying and controlling both thefield signal and industrial equipment in the industrial control. Nowadays, most of the RTUsystem uses lower data communication rate single chip microcomputer as the main controlunit.Because of the simple design structure,uncomprehensive function,especially the cutresistance of system and lower flexibility,these factors restrict the development of RTU systemin any other control field.The design which uses with the ARM kernel, programmable analog and digital modulesembedded PSoC5LP chip as the central control unit.The chip has the high ability of datatransmission and data processing. And based on the CAN bus protocol, the Modbus protocol,RS485bus, ZigBee wireless network, USB bus and other communications technology todesign a flexible cutting peripheral components, peripheral component flexible configurationand configuration of RTU system is researched and designed.This design of RTU system kernel configuration unit has a higher processing capacity andmakes the availability and reliability of the system more robust. Peripheral componentimplements a variety of bus and network, makes fully function and strong flexibility of thesystem.Peripheral components module is separated from the kernel by the configuration RTUsystem, this makes the RTU system in industrial control have more advantages like fullyfunctional, stable performance and flexibility.The research, development and application ofthis design improve the level of the industrial control automation and information technology,accelerate the progress of RTU industrial control technology.
