The EEG signal is a typical signal of bioelectricity, which contains much physiological and pathological information. From the research of EEG signal, We can learn the relationship between the electrical activities of nerve cells and the physiological and pathological states, and this relationship has great significance in the province of the clinical medicine and cognitive science.This topic is a Crossness between biology,medicine and Electronic information technology . At first, with the aid of the neurobiology and the electrophysiology knowledge, the neural action potential was recorded through the microelectrodes implanted to the mouse's brain. Then, in the guide of micro-electronic technology, we design the recording and processing system of rat EEG signal. The system includes preamplifier, band pass filter, 50 Hz notch filter and voltage raiser. Transfer the signal to processing part with wireless digit transfer module. With PSoC module, we amplifier the EEG signal again and transfer it to digital signal. Then we transmit the digital signal to computer through serial port RS-232. At last, the signal was filtered and displayed in the computer with LabVIEW, so that researchers can analysis the signal easily.The paper mostly studied a system for recording and processing EEG signal in freely behaving rats , and gives a relatively detailed explanation on the amplifiers, filters, wireless telemetry, EEG signal digital processing with PSoC, the communication between PSoC and PC, and EEG signal display with LabVIEW.
