Now the social environment is increasingly fierce competition in all walks of life, productivity level determines the success of a business development. If companies can haveadvanced and convenient software as the basis of its product development and design, thenthis will greatly improve the speed of designers, resulting in improved production efficiency. So, the main task of this paper is to complete the work of developing common parts librarysystem which given by Dalian plate company. PUNCH customers can quickly complete molddesign and assembly by this standard parts library, Finally, they need to purchase standardparts through BOM, Greatly improved the PUNCH company’s efficiency.First, this paper describes the current use of three-dimensional software. Research andanalysis of the development of three-dimensional software at home and abroad, and briefoverview of the purpose, meaning and basic framework of this study. We then studied the development of methods of CATIA. We first introduced theparametric modeling process and how to edit EXCEL spreadsheet. Then, we have introducedseveral methods for CATIA software development, and analyzed the working principle ofCAA-RADE module. And using modules based on Visual Studio RADE environment toachieve the development of the common parts library system. Designers can conductinteractively operations with it in order to obtain their required parts. Database design is theuse of EXCEL technology, use ODBC technology to achieve access to the database. Finally, we introduced the developed generic parts library menu button Punch_StdLIB,BOM, StdLIB_Help function and method of operation through call the physical part, andprospects for the future on how to further improve the system.
