Application Of Video Surveillance In Safe City

Designing and realizing one kind of video surveillance system are the main contents of this paper. Targeted at requirements provided by Public Security Bureau (PSB), it has also put forward solutions. This subject comes from the system design of "Safe City" video surveillance project in some region.In this thesis, it has introduced a standard, open, concise and All-IP NGN system architecture to replace the traditional solution. Integrated of network video codec, switched network, IP storage and management system, it can stably and reliably construct large-scale operable, maintainable, manageable and high-qualified networking monitoring system platform, from hundreds to thousands of paths.In the aspect of system design, it will be described from five aspects of front access, network planning, surveillance platform, surveillance storage planning and surveillance center planning. Meanwhile, it will analyze the expansibility, reliability, safety and practicability of this system.Taking advantage of IVS intelligent surveillance solution, the complete "Safety Project" is constructed, adopting hierarchical and open implemented architecture, it provides open API access and SDK (software developer’s kit), which is convenient for integrating with products of the third party partners. realizing the integration and linkage between urban security surveillance system and Police Information System.According to this designing scheme, this thesis has completed the design of this system and realized the application of video surveillance in Safe City.
