The Research And Implementation Of Video Surveillance System Based On RED5

With the development and popularization of the Internet, the number of Internet users and the amount of network data sharply increased. Relying on the development of network and multimedia technology, streaming media technology has been widely used. Video surveillance system as a major application of the streaming media technology is influencing and changing people’s work and life style continuously. For some deficiencies of current video surveillance system, the article designed and implemented a surveillance system based on Red5through analysis and research.This paper first introduces the background, current status and significance of the research and project development; then based on the in-depth analysis of main streaming media technologies and related protocols, puts forward the design of video surveillance system, the streaming media server can be divided into data layer, control layer, processing layer, and the client side consists of real-time monitoring (live video) part and video playback (video on demand) part; then describes the implementation of each module, the exception handling mechanism and the key technologies in detail; finally, is the performance evaluation after comprehensive experiment, including video bit rate test, CPU and network performances of streaming media server test, storage performance test.The article designs and implements the video surveillance system based on Red5through analysis and research of related principle and protocol about streaming media technology. Based on B/S development mode, the streaming media server develops in hierarchical and loosely coupled modules organization model based on Red5platform. Video encoding and decoding adopts Xuggle library, media data transfers through RTMP protocol. Client develops based on Flex technology, using MVC pattern Mate framework. The system supports for multiple types of DVR equipment access, including Hikvision DVR and Vanlink DVR. Later, just add submodule in the access module, if new types of equipment need to be accessed.The main function of the system includes real-time monitoring (live video) and video playback (video on demand). After long-term testing in various aspects, the system can be stabilized to normal operation, and achieve the desired requirements.
