With the rapid development of mobile Internet, voice communications can not meet the requirement for communications any more. On the other hand, data service is becoming the main business of mobile communications, but with the advent of the era of big data, there is a new requirement for the speed and quality of data transmission. Because of the limited spectrum resources and the needs of fast-growing, high-performance communication technologies had to take to deal with.Channel coding and modulation technology plays an important role in improving the reliability and effectiveness of the transmission system. In this paper, commonly used digital modulation techniques and Low Density Parity-check Code were studied. On the basis of studying some common encoding and decoding algorithms, we simulate the performance and analyze the complexity of these algorithms, select one of these algorithms, which has lower complexity and better performace, to be implemented on the hardware.Quasi-Cyclic Low Density Parity-check Code (QC-LDPC) has many advantages for implemention on hardware, such as needing a small storage space, the presence of efficient decoding algorithms and so on, so we select the QC-LDPC as the important implemention in this paper. The encoder and decoder of LDPC were implemented on the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). Efficient algorithm2was selected as the encoding algorithm and layer-decoding was selected as the decoding algorithm. |
