Visualization Of Library And Information Science Based On Co-occurrence Analys

With the rapid development of the information industry, the development of Chinese library and information science had achieved the new level in the last century and the new technology and methods were applied in the library and information science. After the10-year-development, the breadth and depth of library and informa-tion science research had the better development.There were thousands of articles published for library and information in each year. The work personnel in library and information science need widely and directly master the field focus, discipline structure and development trend. The traditional personal reading was difficult to acquire effectively the information in the face of so many scientific papers. In the recent years, co-word analysis and social network analysis provided the new perspective and method for it. The application of these methods can compensate the deviation of subjective judgment on a certain extent, and also make up for the professional background lack of related research, and is relative-ly objective to the science development by the accurate data and scientific methods.In this paper, the cluster analysis was conducted for key words according to the co-occurrence theory, the social network analysis was conducted for the authors and research institutions, and then accurately had the interpretation for the research focus and the accompany of authors and research institution during the recent five years, and further study the effect of related theory applied to the practice, and provide the accurate data support for related research personnel.The paper included four parts:In the first part, it expounded the research background and significance, and explained the research methods and content; In the second part, it reviewed the visual theory development and application in the domestic and foreign research field; In the third part, it revealed the research focus and main research field of library and information science during the recent five years, and analyzed the scientific collaboration network during the recent five years. Firstly, the cluster analysis were conducted for key words according to the co-occurrence analysis theory, and divided the all research papers in the recent five years by the annual segmentation, and the cluster tree figure was made by the annual data, and then compared and analyzed the focus content and subjects of Chinese library and information science during the recent five years. The co-occurrence matrix of authors and institutions was constructed, the cooperative network of authors and institutions was visualized, the visual imaging was conducted according to the Ucinet software and Netdraw software for matrix, and then the author co-occurrence network was conducted for library and information field during the recent five years. In the fourth part, the changes of all kinds of theme of library and information field was summarized, and the research focus of library and information field was comprehensively and vividly showed, and the cooperation and changes during the five years in these field according to the research and analysis of research cooperation network were showed and then found the problems.
