The Analysis Of The Situation About Library, Information And Literature Science In The National Social Science Fund Projects For20Years

As the most senior research fund of the National Social Science, National Social ScienceFund projects are based on the major practical issues and the forefront of academicdevelopment, which objectively reflect the hot spots, present situation and developmentdirection of various disciplines. This article mainly analyzes the situation of the Library,Information and Literature Science in the National Social Science Fund projects from1994-2013. The paper uses the methods of bibliometrics, word frequency analysis and contentanalysis to count the number and rate, item category, the growth of fund, the distribution ofregions and units, project leaders of the subject and the distribution of their membership system,subject classification and subject content distribution, expected results and so on, from whichwe want to explore the research focus and trends of the Library, Information and LiteratureScience.I use Excel to classify and summary each target, then analyze the statistical results. Wefind that the proportion of the Library, Information and Literature Science in the NationalSocial Science Fund projects has been greatly improved. However, there is still a big gap.We have a long way in discipline construction, if it compares with the average project rate ofhumanities and social sciences. Consistent with the overall plan of the National SocialScience Fund, discipline project category tilts to the youth project, which shows that thecountry pay much attention to the cultivation of the young power. In addition, there are fewerkey projects, which needs us do much more work; Beijing, Hubei, Shanghai have the mostprojects, and Wuhan university, Beijing university, Nanjing university have the most abundantstrength of study; Universities are the main force of subject project; Expected results aremainly in paper (sets), monographs and research reports; The theme of the project content hasa wider range, including the library, information resources, network, knowledge management,e-government, information services, they are the research hot spots; Regional library, digitallibrary, information resources construction and sharing, knowledge, the protection ofintangible cultural heritage, information rights protection, information security maybe becomethe future hot spots in the field of the Library, Information and Literature Science.
