Hotspot Ananlysis Of Chinese Library And Information Science

Co-word analysis (co-word analysis) is an important method in informationmetrology and a commen method of the content analysis method. Co-word analysis is aprofessional terminology mainly to express a field research theme, research direction.Through the common occurrence in a literature phenomenon analysis in this field,judge the relationships among themes and reveal the research structure. The mainprinciple of the co-word analysis method is two two statistics to a group of words (inthis study using the key words) to calculate how many times they appear in the samearticle. On this basis, use the modern statistical techniques and analysis methods, suchas factor analysis, cluster analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis. Through theanalysis, the representative keywords in the subject field can be classified accordingto a" relevant" and" similar" distance. By displaying the results to reflect therelationship between the words, analyse the structure change of the subjects andthemes which they represent.The paper intends to use CNKI periodical database as the data source and baseon CSSCI in the" Journal of Library Science in China"," University Library Journal","Journal of the National Library.",""," library construction library"," Library Journal","Library Theory and practice" seven journals over the past five years (2007-2011). Asthe research foundation, through the keyword extraction as a direct object of study,through statistical analysis to select the keywords which appear frequently andrepresent Library Science reseach hotspots. Through the statistical analysis toco-occurrence frequency of these keywords, the use of Excel, SPSS software,complete the corresponding data processing and analysis. At the same time with thehelp of factor analysis, cluster analysis, multidimensional scaling analysis function,study the relationship between keywords, reflect the domestic library science researchhotspots and research structure objectively and scientifically, summarize the researchfocus and development trends, reveal Chinese library science research contentsobjectively and completely to provide certain reference for the experts and scholarswho engage in Library Science research and provide decision-making and referenceinformation for the research project and course planning in the library field.
