With the development of the society and the progress of science and technology, peoplepay more and more attention to the quality and level of living environment. Securitymonitoring system as an important part of the smart home is getting more and morecompanies and users.Yet the traditional security monitoring system has someshortcoming,such as inconvenient installation, simple function, low level of intelligence,etc,therefore designing security monitoring system of wireless communication and goodscalability has certain practical significance.Based on studying the current situation and application of domestic and foreign securitymonitoring, this paper proposes to design a security monitoring system based on wirelessnetwork. This system uses the model of total-points structure, namely a total controller nodeand multiple points of pattern. The system can increase the different nodes according to user’sneed and has strong expansibility. The communication between total controller and the partialnode adopt the combination of the recently popular WiFi and socket to implement, this way ofwireless network without wiring and convenient installation.And the system chooses the TCPnetwork programming approach to guarantee the reliability of data transmission.Themicroprocessor of total controller as a server chooses ARM11, and the microprocessor ofnode chooses ordinary51MCU.Software is mainly for total controller embedded systemdevelopment, including the installation of the embedded Linux system, the configuration ofthe terminal, NFS mount, the implementation of cross-compiling, kernel cutting andtransplant, Boa server loaded, WiFi driver loaded, and the realization of the function ofdatabase.The general controller can receive data information and can be transmitted to theWeb browser, which realize the function of remote monitoring.Of course software alsorealizes the function of each node in the data collection.Finally test work is completed the overall system performance in a lab environment.Each node can accurately transmits the data to the general controller, when the data morethan set warning value, will start the alarm.And users can also remotely monitor the indoorenvironment parameters through the browser.Experiments show that the system runs stablyand reliably, which can satisfy the requirement of security monitoring.
