In recent years, food safety incidents has occurred frequently. Low temperature food preservation problem has even taken more widespread attention. Temperature-sensitive food needs temperature control requirements not only in the production, storage, marketing and also in the transportation and distribution process. To solve this problem, this paper proposed a low-temperature food transport environmental monitoring system based on RFID, WSN, GPS and GPRS technology, which is included intelligent nodes, data collection terminal, RFID tags. Monitoring and managing platform. We focused on the design of intelligent nodes, data collection terminal hardware structure and software workflow. We also finished the functionality of monitoring and management platform,query and alarm. An experimental apparatus system is developed to achieve real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity and vehicle location information for low-temperature food refrigerated trucks during transport. The alarm messages are immediately send to the mobile phone when the system detected abnormal temperature and humidity, so that spoiled food can be avoided into the market.The system is of great significance for the protection of low-temperature food and the common technology of wireless sensors network with RFID, WSN, GPS and GPRS technology. Meanwhile, the system also has a very broad market prospects and considerable social and economic benefits. It can satisfy the demand for cold chain logistics applications, and it has excellent industrial prospects.The test results showed that the system could get the humidity and geographic location information of the low-temperature food during them transport, and the alarm SMS is sent when temperature reached the threshold so that temperature and humidity are adjusted to ensure food safety. Our design can meet the requirements of low-temperature food transport environmental monitoring.
