Nowadays, considering the low production, remote location and regionalisolation related to some oil wells, high invest is not suggested for some welloperation sites. Often, a few mechanical instrumentations exist and amountexperiences are involved in sites. The factors above result in the decreasing of theoperation efficiency and are also not beneficial for the subsequent parameter analysis.The cable pattern is adopted for the monitored oil wells. The cable pattern has thedisadvantages of complex, high cost and difficult maintenance. ZigBee wirelesscommunication pattern has the advantages of low cost, convenient usage, easymaintenance, wide monitoring field and so on, which provide the possibility to solvethe problems above.In this dissertation, based on ZigBee protocol, CC2430chips supporting ZigBeeprotocol are chosen to develop a set of well operation site monitoring system. Thewhole monitoring system consists of a data center node and two end nodes. One of theend nodes monitors the tension of a rope, the speed of a rope, the torsion of a tong byAD acquisition and pulse detection. The other of the end nodes monitors theresistance value of the cable with the circuit designed. Data center receives the datafrom the two end nodes and stores the data into the SD card for the subsequentanalysis. Meanwhile, data center also has the functions of data display, down loadparameters. Hithreto, a wireless monitoring system with parameter monitoring, datastorage, data display and so on is developed.
