Desgin And Implementation Of Campus’s Network Monitoring System Base On SNMP

The development of information technology has promoted the national economyrapidly. Information technology has permeated all various fields, and has closelyrelated to the activities and management of enterprises, governments and educationalinstitutions. When it provides convenience to the operation and management,information technology has proposed new management requirements for risk controland safe operation. With the development of the University information system,management, teaching, financial and other related jobs have been completedconstruction. The stable operation of the IT system has been directly related to thestability of the school’s daily work in teaching and management. When strengtheningthe rules of management, advanced IT network monitoring system, strengthening thesecurity of information system operation has become an important guarantee for themaintenance of school order.The content of the research is mainly to establish a suitable IT operationmanagement network monitoring systems for domestic colleges and universities. Themain function of network monitoring system is: data acquisition and processing, datastorage processing, user management, object management, fault management androutine inspection management. Thesis work includes: researching the operatingenvironment of network monitoring system; researching the function and position ofnetwork monitoring system in the network; researching the overall systemarchitecture, analyzing of the main functional and non-functional requirements;relying on the results of the needs analysis, studying overall system architecturedesign; designing user management, object management, fault management and dailyinspection management; Completing the design of the adapter, database, deploymentarchitecture and system security; in system implementation phase, completing thedevelopment of program of three acquisition adapter types; completing the functiontesting, performance testing and system optimization work; finally discussing theprocess and implementation procedure with systems management from the regionmonitoring to specified device monitoring.The content of the research is based on the standard technology protocols, usingof sophisticated tools and techniques, building the system of flexible structure,feature-rich and system stable. Using prototyping, rapid build up the basic functionsof the system, which continue to improve based on the prototype and reach the finalproduct demand.The research of the network monitoring system has been running in collegenetwork environment, which is stable and meet the objectives of the research. Meanwhile, the acquisition model based on SNMP protocol collection methods andimplanting proxy mode, enriched the data collection methods, expanded datacollection capabilities, expanded the scope of monitoring equipment, provided areference for the relevant application.
