Design And Implementation Of Network Management System Based On SNMP And SYSLOG Protocol

With the rapid development of network technology,types of network equipments have been developed,and the network environment has become more complicated,which has leaded the increasing difficulty of network management,therefor network management has become a challenging subject.The high concentration of network resources and the increased management requirements of virtualization products and applications inevitably lead to the complexity of the local network structure and the rapid expansion of the scale;the safe and efficient management of the campus network has now been affected by enterprises and companies in various industries.The special attention of the senior management of public institutions has even regarded the management of the campus network as the strategic development direction of the company's development.Especially after the introduction of cloud computing platforms such as cloud storage,the complexity and heterogeneity of the network are rapidly advancing.Network management issues have become an important factor restricting the development and communication of enterprise departments.This article first reviewed the development of network management technology and introduced a general network management model.Then,two typical network management protocols,snmp and syslog,were selected as the research direction of the thesis,and theoretical analysis was carried out from the aspects of protocol principles,characteristics and message structure.Combined with the current status of the civil aviation airport security layerd system,the system structure is analyzed,the network management function requirements are sorted out,and the system functions of the network management system are designed.This article uses the cacti open source platform,builds a network management server in the security layered system,and configures snmp and syslog for various devices.After running tests,the network management platform completely collected data such as cpu,memory,disk usage,disk IO,and interface traffic of terminal devices;centralized management,classification,and statistics of system logs;drawing of network topology;realizing network abnormalities Automatic alarm and other functions.The network management system runs well during use and achieves the desired network management goals.
