| As the signal acquisition rate of electronic measurement and radar technology increaseand high-speed signal processing develops rapidly, the design and application of Gsps levelmulti-channel analog to digital converter (ADC) boards are extremely important. In thispaper, a multi-channel high-speed system for signal acquisition, storage and transmission isdesigned based on sampling theorem. The system is stable and reliable to meet therequirements of various applications for high-speed signal transmission.Firstly, this paper reviews the sampling theorem, including low-pass and band-passsampling theorem, and discusses the performance, test methods and calibration ofhigh-speed ADCs. Secondly, according to the requirements of T/R module Automatic TestSystem,a system architecture based on Xilinx Virtex-6FPGA is proposed. The systemarchitecture includes multi-channel high-speed signal acquisition, data storage and datatransmission. This architecture can effectively utilize FPGA programmability and flexibility, and enables multiple channels of high-speed signal acquisition simultaneously to meet therequirement of large-capacity data storage and high-speed transmission. The systemarchitecture can be divided into two parts, which are the multi-channel high-speed dataacquisition system and the storage&transmission system. The design of the multi-channelhigh-speed acquisition system includes the high-speed synchronous clock with low jitter, the circuit of high-speed ADC for front and rear ends, and synchronization for high-speedmulti-channel ADC sampling. Meanwhile, this paper discusses how DDR3stores largeamounts of data and how fiber and PCI Express bus transmit data quickly and effectively.Eventually, the hardware design FPGA-based board for multi-channel high-speedsignal acquisition, storage and transmission is completed. All the modules are functionallytested including multi-channel high-speed ADC acquisition module, optical transmissionmodule and PCI Express module, followed by the theoretical analysis. At the same time, abrief introduction of the T/R module Automatic Test System and the design’s applicationin this system is made. |
