In radar systems, there is mass of data should be acquired and stored for afterward analyzing and algorithms verifying. Thus a high performance data acquisition system is necessary. We design a multi-channel data acquisition and storage system and complete the channel calibration in the paper based on a project of passive radar with five antennas.There are two separated boards in this multi-channel data acquisition and storage system, data acquisition board and data storage board. On the data acquisition board, the analog signal is sampled by high performance ADC and converts to digit signal, which is then transmitted to data storage board by Fiber channel. At the same time, the digit signal is received by Fiber channel on the data storage board, stored in the DDR2 SDRAM and then transmitted to a computer. After that, we calibrate the acquisition data by calibration filters.First, the system scheme is proposed and argued in the paper and the main technology is discussed. Second, the system hardware is designed, in which the FPGA designing, clock arrangement and power distribution are realized. Third, the software of system is programmed, which is made of three parts, the designing of data acquisition board, the designing of data storage board and the designing of application software. In the software, the unmatched of data widths and clock rates is solved and the PCI driver and display interface designing are discussed. At last, the channel calibration is dissertated and realized by Matlab, and after that the system is tested. |
