With the development of multi-touch technology, various outstandingAPPs continue to emerge. Education APPs, which represents the future ofchildren’s education, also has an increasing number in APPs store.Entertaining and interactive educational applications widen modernchildren’s vision, it makes learning no longer boring. Development ofinformation technology has also been included in the important issuerelated to the country national education of children. Today, People arefamiliar with tablet and mobile APPs with friendly user interface. There isan urgent need for the overall combination and upgrade of software andhardware. Let technology optimize education function, let user interfaceallows children to learn and communicate, enable students to use theadvantages of Internet resources and a variety of applications. Manycountries are exploring the topic of how to create educational APPs to helpstudents to learn more effectively.This paper combines theory and practical research, drawing ontheories of cognitive psychology, the field of cognitive load theory, userexperience design, art design knowledge, theoretical analysis of thepsychological characteristics of modern children’s cognitive, behavioralcharacteristics of the Tablet PC operating, English learning needs ofchildren and graphical user interface design. Provide the user interfacedesign principles of children’s English learning on APPs. Firstly, I used data studies to have the preliminary understanding ofchildren’s English learning. Use the questionnaire survey, observation,scenario method and interviews to understand the behavior of modernchildren’s learning and use of English APP behavior from children, parentsand teachers. According to different sort of English learning needs ofbehavioral data, make the role models of different English learners andAPPs users. Based on the common needs and individual needs, propose theuser interface design principles of children’s English learning on APPs. Atlast, I designed a user interface on APP for first grade children Englishlearning as a practice.
