Abstract:With the gradual maturity of computer network technology and digital technology, the broadcast of television programs has entered the digital and network era. Currently, the digital television product manufacturers in our country still use foreign video servers. However, as the video servers have characteristics of high price and dedicated hardware platform, they are not conducive to the promotion in domestic. Therefore, the research of Digital TV broadcast system based on TS (transport stream) is carried out in paper.Firstly, after analyzing the characteristics and the needs of the domestic small and medium-sized TV station, a broadcast system based on TS, which involves functions of compiling, broadcasting and monitoring, is designed in paper. This system is composed of three subsystems:compiled list subsystem, broadcast control subsystem and monitor output subsystem. Compiled list subsystem is responsible for uploading programs and displaying broadcast information. Broadcast control subsystem is responsible for processing and storing of data. Monitor output subsystem is responsible for monitoring and outputting. Four kinds of broadcast mode is designed in broadcast control subsystem, including timing broadcast, postponed broadcast, timing relay and timing spots. In order to enrich the source of broadcast system based on TS, PS (program stream) also can be broadcasted in the system. According to the problem of broadcasting PS (program stream), a real-time conversion to TS method is proposed. A PCR (Program Clock Reference) reconstitution algorithm is designed to solve the PCR jitter effectively. In view of the continuous broadcasting problem among different TS programs, a deeply research on splicing technology based on TS packet level is carried out. And the splicing effect is optimized by improving the DTS (decoding time stamp) adjustment algorithm. In addition, the demultiplexing technology of TS is researched and implemented in paper. This system is built on the Windows platform with the developing language C++. The use of multi-threading technology in software design is helpful to solve the speed issue which is affected by running multiple tasks at the same time, so it enhances the real-timing and stability of the system.After improving the algorithm and testing continuously, the system’s functions of compiling, broadcasting and monitoring have been fully completed. Besides, the broadcast system is in stable operation which has achieved the desired design goals. What’s more, compared with using hardware method to realize the broadcast system based on TS, the software method can greatly reduce the cost. So the broadcast system based on TS enjoys high level of practicality. Therefore, this system can be served as a reliable technical reference for the development of network television broadcast product with its practicality and stability.
