Due to the great market-potential and prospective profits , HDTV already becomeone of the most active fields of the international high-tech and have been studied formany years too in our country. At the present time how to convert the research resultsinto products and develop more HDTV-relative products to form a wholeproduct-chain and how to cultivate the international market are the problems whichconcern every TV manufacturers. So we put our focus on researching and developingthe instruments used to test the HDTV.This paper aims at the design of a portable MPEG-2 recording instrument accordwith the DVB standards. It can provide the high storage capacity and high bit raterecord for the MPEG transport stream and it also can create and store high capacitylocal test-data-flow libraries. The transport stream input-interface adopts SPI and ASIand we adopt the high performance 8bit-MCU produced by Silicon Laboratories asthe micro-controller. The design procedure and method of every module and theproblems perhaps encountered in realization are both analysed detailedly in this paper. |
