Digital TV is a bran-new broadcasting mode and a trend of TV development. It will replace the analog TV for excellent picture, lower bandwidth of a program and bi-directional transport. As a necessary debug tool in the development and application of digital television, Digital TV monitor and analysis device will be broadly applied to device manufacture, network installation, monitor of service running status and so on. So it is necessary to research and develop Digital TV monitor and analysis device. This thesis is based on the design of a"CPLD+DSP"structure of the Embedded Stream Analyzer. Firstly, the author learns the monitoring standards and contents of Digital TV Transport Stream, then studies the standards of the MPEG-2 system layer. Secondly, the author learns the structure of the core, interruption management, the structure of the bus, peripherals and tools of the ADSP-BF531. Based on above all, the thesis propose a design of the embedded stream analyzer with the"CPLD+DSP"structure using ADSP-BF531 as the core. The design is composed of hardware to input and store the transport stream and software to analyze the transport stream. Finally, the experimental results are given after the code optimization. At present, the Transport Stream Analyzer with the function of offline analysis can monitor the basic information of the structure of the transport stream, the rate of the bandwidth, PSI/SI information, analysis of the PCR, the analysis of the grammar and so on. Compared with the Transport Stream Analyze based on the structure of the PC, the Embedded Stream Analyzer based on ADSP-BF531 has a low cost, small size, good stability, and other advantages.
