Sugar manufacturing is the basic industry of the food industry, and it is also the raw material industry in many products such as:papermaking, chemical industry, fermentation, medicine, food product and so on. Otherwise, sugar industry plays a very important role in national economy. The whole process of refining sugar is mainly consisted of squeezing and smelting. Squeezing is the first working procedure of sugar manufacture, in this working procedure, whether or not to make the sugarcane flowing uniformity is the main factor to affect the stability of production and the cost. While the conveyer belt control in the squeezing workshop which used to convey sugarcane is an important part to affect the sugarcane whether or not to get into squeezing in balanced. Therefore, designing a set of effective automatic monitored control system will be extremely meaningful in raising productivity and saving the cost of production.In terms of conveyer belt control, this article has presented using the three-phase AC induction motor and Inverter to replace traditional DC motor as the driving element of conveyer belt and other power equipments. And it designs a system with PLC as the core of filed control. This system use VB as the software platform to develop upper computer monitoring and control software. Through this designing, we can easily realize the control of sugarcane flow in the conveyer belt of the entire production line, as well as the control of a motor’s torque and speed. Through the effective monitoring in conveyer belt of sugarcane, it can make all the equipments in the production line coordinated working, and improve the stability and efficiency of production.The automatic monitoring and control system of the conveyer belt of sugarcane introduced in this article has high reliability and flexibility, reasonable structure, low cost; it also can realize the control of conveyer belt of sugarcane in the sugar refinery and improve the working efficiency. Otherwise, this system has some certain reference value for the design of similar factory control system.
