Along with the development of science technology, the production technic and craft process of morden industry increasingly turn to complexity, and the production equipment scale constantly expands, which bring very high request towards factory automation.Comparing with merely realization of scene equipment control, real-time response to scene equipment working state has more practical significance.Therefore industrial monitor systems come forth, aiming to monitor working fields.It's an obvious tendancy in industrial control fields to set configuration software on computers, because this mode can real-time monitor industrial production process more intuitionally and conveniently, and fully exert computers' ability on complicated data disposal, report forms statistic and graphics display.What's more, configuration software can avoid troubled programming work in industrial control process, which enable uers to make configuration at wil to fast build up industrial monitor systems, according to users' control objects and aims.So these years configuration software is widely applied to industrial automation and industrial process control projects.Based on the Rebuild Project of the 200.000 DWT Ore-Terminal of certain Port, the paper integrates the automation technology, the industrial communication network technology and up-to-date configuration tools, and introduces the basic method to design the Belt Conveyer Monitoring System using configuration software and GP-PRO/PBIII.This paper introduces the development process of the industrial monitor system at first, as well as the topic's background, research content and significance. Then introduces the conception, characteristic and composing of configuration software, meanwhile summarizes the common design flow of monitoring systems.Gives out the overall system design plan on the basis of production equipment and craft's scene situation, which emphasizes the composing and operating mode of the monitoring system.Utilizes configuration software FameView to design the remote monitoring system, real-time monitoring the craft and equipment, and realizing various functions such as production data recording and query, alarm reports and report forms pringting. At the same time utilizes GP-PRO/PBIII to design the field monitoring system, realizing field equipment working state display and control.Now the entire monitoring System has been put into practical use for more than one year. It woks well long time and satisfies customers with real-time control, friendly HMI and reliable operating performance.
