Winding die is widely used in machinery manufacturing industry. The key to theproduction of prestressed strip wound die is tension control. In the winding system, the use ofconstant tension control is easy to cause the loose inner layer and the tight outer layer, andreduce the strength and fatigue resistance of the die. The variable tension winding is used inthe manufacture of prestressed strip wound die. The winding tension decreases gradually withincreasing winding radius. So the die internal stress distribution is reasonable, thereby the lifeof the die is extended, and the accuracy of the product is improved. This paper studies ontaper tension fuzzy control of strip winding system, and the main work completed in thispaper is as follows:Literatures related technical fields at home and abroad are reviewed. The concept andcontrol strategy of taper tension are elaborated, and the selection of taper tension controller isanalyzed.Based on analysis of composition and working principle of the strip winding tapertension control system, constant linear velocity control of the strip is realized by using vectorinverter control of the three-phase asynchronous motor in the winding side of the stripwinding system. To realize taper tension control, tension feedback is built in the unwindingside of the strip winding system. The control strategy of using fuzzy controller with adjustablefactors is proposed, and the tension fuzzy controller is designed.Based on the proposed control strategy, the model of the constant line speed control ofthe winding side and the model of tension fuzzy control of the unwinding side of the stripwinding system are established and researched in Matlab/Simulink. The simulation resultsshow that winding side has stable constant linear velocity characteristics, and unwinding siderealizes the taper tension of strip winding tension control system by fuzzy control algorithmwith adjustable factors. Compared with the performance of the system using fuzzy controllerwith fixed fuzzy rules, the output tension of system using fuzzy controller with adjustablefactors has smaller overshoot, shorter settling time, and stronger anti-interference ability.Strip winding system monitoring program is designed using the force controlconfiguration software, and the taper tension control is realized through the control of three-phase asynchronous motor in the winding side and servo motor in the unwinding side.The tension fuzzy controller with adjustable factors is designed in the monitoring program. Todebug the strip winding system, monitoring program and sigmawin+software of servo motorare used. Compared with the tension of the system using PID controller, the tension of systemusing fuzzy controller with adjustable factors can follow desired tension well.
