Chemical fiber winding is one of the most important parts of chemical fiber producing process. The quality and yield of chemical fiber products is directly related to the performance of a winding controller. In recent years, domestic and international market demand for chemical products is showing a trend of rapid growing. Customers are also showing interests in chemical fiber products of higher quality. The paradox is that a large number of domestic chemical fibers manufactures are not able to keep up with market pace because of the outdated chemical fiber producing equipments. So, developing new generation fiber winding system with independent intellectual property rights is becoming an urgent demand of China chemical fiber industry.Keeping constant tension while winding is a key point in chemical fiber winding process. Winding heads which are unable to control tension accurately will lead to decline in nondefective rate and difficulty in subsequential working process. Based on an investigation on the producing process of viscose filament and a summary of advantages and limitations of the existing winding equipments, this thesis proposed an improved solution. From the aspect of control algorithm, the thesis proposed to use fuzzy-PID control strategy to deal with the nonlinearity, time dependence, and complex load disturbance of a winding system. The thesis also demonstrated the rationality of using fuzzy-PID strategy and gave out a simulation of the designed fuzzy-PID controller. From the aspect of system structure, a scheme using embedded control system instead of the wildly used "PC+PLC+general inverter" structure was adopted so that the total cost of the system could be reduced. The design method of embedded control system with a MC56F8037 digital signal controller as core was detailed. AC motor, the speed control performance of which is a crucial part of the whole control system, is the actuator of this system. So, this thesis also conducted a research in depth on variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) speed regulation theory in order to implement AC motor speed control robustly. The inverter circuit is based on IR2136S, and the invert algorithm is based on SPWM technology.Now, the fiber winding control system talked in this thesis has passed all engineering tests and equipped a local chemical fiber manufacturer. The test results show that the performance of this fiber winding control system is better than similar traditional equipments. The chemical fiber production shows satisfactory quality. The successful use of embedded control system structure also provided a new idea for the upgrade of the other equipments in chemical fiber winding field.
