Tension control,which is the core tache in flexible film like textile,printing and packaging,aluminum foil,has a direct impact on these products.With the development of light industry in China, more strict requirements for the design of tension controller are brought forward,such as improving its stability and accuracy,expending application range,providing abundant function and so on.In the market today,tension controller has single function and narrow applicable range,and runs complex,so can not meet user's requirements.In this thesis,a new tension controller is designed to apply to the control requirements of flexible materials.To realize functions, through the theory analysis and reasonably simplifies,a control model is built.Then mathematical model is deduced.On this basis, the overall design scheme is put forward.The method of progressive refinement is adopted to design this system. On the hardware,Signal sampling circuit, tachometer circuit,output circle and other circles are realized. On the software,uC/OS-II is selected so that the development of maintenance of software can be easy.At the same time, the speed and security is improved to some extent. The functions of automatic or manual control, coil diameter and rotation calculation and others are all realized.with the coiler mandrel to normally run, the inner side of the drum will be extruded strongly so that the drum will become uneven.To solve this problem, the tension on the drum 's surface should be decreased when coil diameter increases.That is taper control. The mathematical expression of taper control is presented In this thesis.The results show that the various functions module can run steadily, and the controller is characterized by high response speed,small overshoot,and the data display steadily. So this tension controller has complete function,and can apply to the tension control of flexible materials on most occasions.
