In the assembly line consisting of winding construction, constant tension control, most important part in the multivariable tension system, is a key technique to control constantly multi-tensions in the whole production for quality guarantee. In order to control those tension systems, this paper provides a model of multivariable tension control system and makes a simulation and analysis on it, hence assisting the design of the applicable tension control system. What's more, this paper introduces some basic knowledge of modelling and simulating of the control system. Based on Hooke's Law and the theory of Dynamic Moment Balance, it analyzes the relations of all parts of the multivariable tension system and the interaction between velocity and tension, clarifies the various relations in the construction graph. Then, focusing on the wet method compound machine, it analyzes respectively common elements such as ...Magnetic Particle Brake, D.C motor, D.C motor driver , successfully creates those sub-models by using MATLAB/ Simulink and finally sets up the MIMO simulation model on the whole multivariable tension system. After the addition of basic PID controller to the multivariable tension control model, all kinds of simulation are made to the whole system by using Simulink, whose result is very close to the practical controlling before optimized. According to all these, further simulation and analysis are intended to provide some ways and methods for optimizing. In reconstructing the wet method compound machine, the simulation and analysis help to shorten the adjustment to the system. The ways and methods for optimizing are very effective in practical controlling system.
