Therefore, this topic was on the basis of the wide use of computer technology in Chinese animal husbandry, with an emphasis on all kinds of information management of the horse ranch, in order to build a digital management platform that can be used in the horse ranch. This platform can provide decision support basis for managers and veterinarians by continuous monitoring and statistical analysis of all kinds of information of the horse ranch, thereby reducing the occurrence of the disease, improving the management level of the horse ranch.The System used the object-oriented technology, based on the NET framework, using Visual Basic.NET technology and the Access database technology. The system used the prototype method to develop. It has developed six subsystems, they were the medical record management subsystem, immunization management subsystem, breeding management subsystem, health monitoring subsystem, the horse basic information subsystem, and staff management subsystem.The horse ranch information management system was a collection of medical record management, immunization management, breeding management, health monitoring management, the horse basic information management and staff management. By collecting and recording the pathogenesis course and the treatment process of the sick horses, it can establish a complete electronic medical records, which provides detailed basis for the horses’ disease prevention and treatment, also undertakes statistical analysis of the incidence of various diseases. It will play a guiding role in the immunization, diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention of the horse ranch. Immunization management subsystem used the immunization record as the basic information. It helped the statistical analysis of the horse ranch immunization results, to get each vaccine’s immune effect. It can also automatically alert the immune time, according to each vaccine’s immune procedure, to avoid the "missed immune", and improve the benefit of immune. The breeding management subsystem was based on the current production status and basic information of the horse. It can automatically get the hint of the first estrus and the delivery date, to provide strong guarantee for the horse breeding. Through the analysis of the pathogenic factors for the horses diseases and the prevention measures, and the use of monitoring the horse ranch and all the health indicators of the horses, we build the health monitoring subsystem. The monitoring was divided into the field monitoring and the laboratory monitoring. It lays a certain foundation of the horse ranch health management. The horse basic information subsystem mainly records all kinds of basic information about the horses, including the date of birth, the serial number of the horse, horse house number, gender, age, weight and origin. It can provide a certain basis for the immunization management, breeding management, and other important work. Staff management subsystem mainly records the employee’s addresses, contact information, division of labour and other important information, to make employees clear the division of labor and their responsibilities, which was conducive to the normal management of the horse ranch.The horse ranch management system used Visual Studio2008as the platform, with the introduction of the NET technology, it has powerful function and scalability. Each component has reusability, and the system has strong expandability, which can lay a certain foundation for the further improvement of the future horse ranch information management system. This system combines computer technology and the horse ranch management effectively, to ensure improve the scientific management level of the horse ranch, and effectively reduce the horse breeding industry economic losses caused by the disease, meanwhile, lay the foundations for the traceability of animal derived food. There will be obvious economic and social benefits, at the same time, it played an important role in the transition from the traditional horse breeding industry to the modern one.
