Water has always been an indispensable resource for human survival and development. But with the rapid development of economy, various large enterprises increase the water consumption, which results in the increasing water waste. The problem of water resources management becomes increasingly prominent. Therefore, the use of advanced computer technology to achieve real-time monitoring of water resources has become an important means to improve the scientific management of water resources information technology.According to the water resource management requirements of Fengtai area, Anhui province, designed to build a remote monitoring system, analyzes the development of water resources monitoring and remote transmission technology. According to the monitoring of water resources in accordance with the principles of design and functional requirements of the system,designed to determine the VPN special network of GPRS transmission,Then to design the terminal equipment for the amount of water monitoring in the monitoring area, and select ultrasonic flow meter, to install the sensor according to the instruction, and to collect the water flow data. The system selected the embedded ARM product, STM32F103xx series chip as the micro controller, to do the circuit design for STM32F103VET6, to encrypt, compression processing and integrate the data which collected by the ultrasonic sensor, then send the data to GPRS communication equipment in the form of data flow by the way of serial mode. According to the requirements and principle of GPRS wireless transmission communication, to select MC39i wireless transmission module. Analyze the feature of the module and the interface circuit, and also design the GPRS transport protocol, including transport protocol structure, TCP/UDP, data transmitting procedure, communication software, message frame and Modbus communication protocol. Then the system uses the GPRS APN private network for the remote transmission of data. Finally, the monitoring center frontend will receive the data from GPRS module and send to database server, to analyze and process the data, through the center WEB software, to achieve the functions of real-time monitoring for the condition of the monitoring area, historical data query and so on, and provide a friendly operation interface for users.According to the design scheme of the mode of "monitoring terminal-communication network-monitoring center", the system has been put into use. It greatly improves the work efficiency and the information management level, to achieve the expected requirements. At the same time, the system also can provide a certain reference for industrial monitoring and the supervisory control field.
