With the rapid development of China’s highway construction, Circulation of peopleand goods suddenly increased, and China’s expressway network showed a highincidence of unexpected events, frequent and intensified the situation. Because of thelack of judgment and predict of expressway network of sudden public events, it’s hardto accurately predict events of the time, place and degree, and so it caused delays in therescue, hazardous enlargement and so on. Anything more expressway networkmanagement center of gravity forward increases the difficulty of emergencymanagement in series, so how to build efficient and effective emergency highwaydisposal system to effectively reduce the harm caused by the consequences of the event,and timely, quickly rescue and repair the damaged roads to restore traffic as soon aspossible; how to use the emergency system in real-time early warning system to monitoreach of the main sections of the highway network, in order to obtain real-time dataeliminate potential threats, reducing the probability of an event occurring from thesource is an urgent need to solve the problem. As a starting point, the thesis focuses onthe followings:(1) The basic concept of Internet of Things from the start, how it works,characteristics, structure and intelligence applications; outlining highway emergencymanagement and management information systems, and networking technologies and toanalyze the application of Internet of Things in a highway emergency managementsystem will be explained.(2) Emphatically analyses the IOT related application of the technology inexpressway network management, such as RFID technology in traffic enforcementmanagement systems; GPS, sensor technology in highway warning system; imagerecognition technology and video surveillance technology in emergencies processing,and intelligent traffic management in traffic guidance, etc.. So it provides hands-onexperience for the construction emergency management support system of expresswaynetwork based on the design of IOT.(3) From the expressway network emergency management requirements, theemergency management system of expressway network based on IOT contains information collection systems, information processing systems and informationsystems, and it can meet a variety of information on the various types of traffic datacollection methods, facilities and equipment status data, meteorological data, timely,comprehensive and accurate gathering of requirements to meet as traffic control,regulation and provide scientific data basis for the timely disposal of the accident toprovide accurate information security requirements to meet the accident analysisEvaluation of the request.(4) On the basis of the needs analysis of the expressway network emergencymanagement, this thesis focuses on the prevention of expressway network managementevents, timely detection of an event, the event efficient disposal and high-qualitytransport services four core tasks to build expressway road network emergencymanagement system framework based IOT, and design information collection system,subsystems decision support systems, traffic control and emergency rescue systems,information release system and expressway network emergency response unifiedcommand system of five expressway network emergency management subsystems.
