With the emergence of the Chinese study booming, The Rules for Students is becomingthe main textbook for the children who accept the initial education. The present paper hastaken The Rules for Students as the study object, and the research focuses on the followingfour aspects: the formation, the literature version, the contents as well as the values of TheRules for Students. Three chapters will be conducted in this study.Chapter one is about the formation of “The Rules for Students” and the edition of TheRules for Students. The discussion of “The Rules for Students” mainly focuses on thefollowing two aspects:“Parental instructions” and “the school regulations”, which couldshow that “The Rules for Students” is not limited to The Rules for Students, and it could bewidely used in the core value systems of the socialism, at the same time, it could become thestandards of the independent moral codes. The discussion of the version of The Rules forStudents will make a detailed illustration of the twelve versions of it and examines thecontents. At the same time, it judges the differences of the words and sentences of its differentversion and it also classifies and analyzes the introduction as well as the contents of it.Chapter two is mainly on the analysis about the source of content. The comparison willbe made among the contents of the text, the Rules for Students, the Analects of Confucius andthe Book of Rites and other ancient books so as to research the resources concerning it.Chapter three mainly focuses on the discussion of the value of The Rules for Students.The discussion of the profound connotation of “teaching by imparting rudimentaryknowledge” and the presentation of the Rules for Students on “initiation education” in thefirst part focuses on the education of the details, which could make the innocent childrenbenefit from the cultivation, and this shows the value of The Rules for Students. The secondpart will be constructed from the cultivation of virtues and to explore the virtue of filial pietyand fraternal duty, prudent and trustworthy and kindheartedness, to develop and expand thetraditional virtues of Chinese. The third part will focus on the artistic features as well as theadvantages of it that is worth modeled by the contemporary and the later Chinese textbooks inthe education, at the same time, it also focuses on the comprehension illustration of its modelsignificance and important meaning of the Rules for Students to the edition and revises ofmodern initiation text books.
