In recent years, with the rapid development of electric power industry, electricalporcelain products are needed largely, also our country has become a great nation ofelectrical porcelain manufacture. Shuttle kiln is a representative of the batch industrial heattreatment furnaces, it is also the main heating equipment of porcelain products, inorganicmaterials, ceramic arts and crafts. The sintering process is the most important part in thewhole products production process, So there is a firing process under effective control inshuttle kiln, it is a important significance to improve product performance and quality.There are a lot of difficulties in the traditional electrical control shuttle kiln, includingestablishing mathematical model, especially some problems such as big lag and seriousnonlinear, it is difficult to obtain satisfactory results.For these problems that distribution of temperature, atmosphere is uncontrolled,pressure regulating trival in the shuttle kiln operation process. According to the numericalmodel that by analyzing gas calorific value data in the furnace and advantages of PIDcontrol method in all kinds of temperature control system, The control method is proposedexpert system combining with PID control way. This paper expounds the total controlscheme of the shuttle kiln and analyzes deeply burner combustion subsystem and voltageregulation system, also makes use of the methods that fitting a given firing temperaturecurve, to solve the difficulties that control the temperature in the operation of the kiln.The paper is based on expert system, sums up and writes into the expert knowledgebase, through reasoning self-learning online, access to the PID controller parameter value,it realizes the fast response. After comprehensive analysis of electrical porcelainproduction technology, based on the various requirements of system, it choosesprogrammable logic controller and inverter, through device selection of the hardwarecontroller and I/O, program design and network structures, also makes a good interactiveinterface on the PC, so it designs shuttle kiln automatic control system at last and meets allkind of requirements. The system is not only convenient for field personnel operation, but also meets the demand of the centralized traffic control in central control room, it realizesthe automatic production of electric porcelain material sintering process, and it is also aimportant significance in practical.
