Research On The Application Of Project Management In Museum Operations

This paper attempts to present the possibility and necessity of adopting modernproject management theory into museum operation.During the analysis, it is provedthat modern project management theory is meaningful and useful in raising museummanagement level and efficiency. Then,it explores the suitable methods which canbe used in museum and the solutions which can solve the crucial problems inmuseum project management on actual operation level.Museum management belongs to the museum of science and the modern projectmanagement belongs to the management. they are relatively independent and theirdiscipline correlation is weak.But actually they two are linked in the operations ofmuseum. So,this paper attempts to research on the project management of museumby the angle of methodology.First of all,this article analyze the museum’s operations.Through thedeconstruction,analysis and summary,the elements of successful implementation ofmuseum operations are worked out. Secondly, discussing the method and value of theintroduction that the concept of project management to museum. Focuses on theimplementation of the project management methods in museum,this paper providesimportant lessons for the similar cases to draw from Finally, put forward somethoughts on project management of museum, and throw light on a deeperunderstanding of project management.Analysis of the cases and ummarizes of the related works are combinedin orderto come to a clear and credible conclusion.
