In the era of knowledge economy, people suffering the fast knowledge updating. They need toupdate their knowledge and learn new skills to meet the society’s needs. E-learning as a convenientmeans of access to learning resources, has become the platform of people to start self-learning orcontinuing education. However, this platform facing lots of problem. On the on hand, the learningresource always outdated, which means we can’t learn the latest required knowledge topic. On theother hand, the learning platform is lock of guiding mechanism for new learners. The paper is toaddress these shortcomings, based on the field of computer science technology to work, including thefollowing four parts:First, the paper summarized the learning styles of the current E-learning, analyzed itsshortcomings, propose a self-learning style which combing knowledge requirements. Current socialhotspots knowledge requirement not only can drive knowledge providers develop learning resourcesto update their knowledge system but also can guide learners to carry out purposeful, effectivelearning.Secondly, the paper summarized existing web information extraction method, and designed asuitable method for extract job information from job-list websites. We also employ data miningmethod to find different geographical hotspots knowledge requirement and the implied relationshipbetween these knowledge requirements. We also use weighted graph to build knowledge needs space.After that, the paper proposed an extended topic map model which combing knowledge needsspace and normal topic maps to build the semantic association between the knowledge needs andlearning resources. By this model, learners can find learning resource through knowledge needs.Finally, based on the SOA concept, we developed a new E-learning platform which combingknowledge requirements, and this platform can be a good supplement to traditional education, to helpeducators updated outdated knowledge system to help learners to improve the efficiency ofself-learning, grasp the required knowledge of the society.
