Web2.0 technology from proposed until now obtained the rapid development, each kind of the application and innovation emerge one after another incessantly. The biggest characteristic of Web2.0 is the personalization and decenterlization, emphasizing the socialization,open,share in the meantime, and emphasizing the participation and creation. The biggest variety of Web2.0 is the common people start to change and create the web content, everybody can create an own value on the Internet. Web2.0 just is a symbol, what it indicates is just a changing Internet. These changes complements one another, each other relates in together, it lets the sociality, the user, the participation and creativity these elements float the water surface to become the backbone strength of Internet culture. However, Web2.0 in the opening, the freedom, the equality, conveniently provides simple and direct creation way at the same time for the user, also has many problems.Topic Maps technology is an item of ISO international standard, has a good semantic model, can treat everything as a topic, constructs semantic relationship between topics, and poins to concrete information resources that are related to them. Topic Maps in overseas has been received high attention and had many successful application cases, such as the Italian Opera topic map, Korean folk music retrieval system using Topic Maps, Finnish National Gallery's artwork collections were published on the Internet using Topic Maps etc.. There have been appeared one batch famous open source softwares, such as TM4J that is a topic map engine, TmNav is a tool which can visualize topic map, wandora is a knowledge management tool based on Topic Maps etc.. Also appeared one batch commercial company which are concentrating on Topic Maps research and application, like Ontopia in Norway, NetworkedPlanet in England, and so on. They all have provided some mature Topic Maps solutions. There are also hold some large-scale Topic Maps seminars every year, in these conferences, more and more people start to pay attention to unify Topic Maps and the current extremely popular Web2.0 applications, but we haven't yet see the research of this aspect in domestic.This article tries to do some first steps in this aspect, and do some studies about the mainstream application of Topic Maps in Web2.0. Semantic web from put forward up to now, make slow progress and the result for obtain is limited. But chases Semantic web and web 2.0 knots put together, looking for a kind of middle solution, setting up Semantic web 2.0, providing semantic knowledge service, maybe a new way. This article attempts in this aspect to make some preliminary attempts, makes some discussions about Topic Maps in the Web2.0 mainstream applications. This article on the basis of introducing Topic Maps and Web2.0, mainly discusses the road of fusion of Topic Maps and Web2.0 from four aspects, respectively which is the application of Topic Maps in Blog, RSS, wiki and Tag. And introduces the representative system in detail, respectively which is Semantic Blog system based on Topic Maps-Semblogging, Semantic RSS system based on Topic Maps-RSS2XTM, Semantic Wiki system based on Topic Maps-Tmwiki, social bookmarks system based on Topic Maps-Fuzzzy.Finally, through a practical application case discussion, employed a wiki-style cooperative knowledge management tool which is Topincs to build a conference topic map and provide the navigation function based on semantics. Through the contrast analysis with the original website, we can discover the meeting website that is driven by Topic Maps has many advantages compares the original website in building up the website content and navigating the website.
