The domestic steel industry has realized the huge expansion of the scale along withthe rapid development of economy. But the information management of the entire industryremains low level with the problems such as the original management means, lowefficiency, etc. In the management system of the steel industry, the purchase managementsystem is an important part of information management system because of thecharacteristics of procurement activities. Meantime, the management and evaluationsystem of the supplier is the key of the purchase management system. So a good suppliermanagement and evaluation system has important practical significance for theinformatization of entire steel industry.First, the present situation and development situation at home and abroad of themanagement system of supplier are comprehensive analyzed.
