The optical fiber equipment of access network is expensive, which has been the key problem of the popularity of FTTH. How to rearch and find a new equipment and can be put into production, is the focus of rearching access network. BOB (BOSA On Board) technology, at present domestic partial system manufacturers, ODM manufacturer of existing research and production. The difference betwween of ONU based on BOB technology and tradional ONU in hardware are only in the packaging of optical modules:traditional ONU equipment with independent optical module encapsulation, can be a hot swap on ONU board; With BOB technology, the optical module is weld directly in ONU board, which simplified ONU system board structure and reduce the cost of equipment.There is no difference in the basic structure of software.In traditional ONU, the optical module uses independent encapsulation and separate test, generally by optical module provider. And BOB technology, has integrated optical module into the ONU, traditional optical module testing can’t be reused, optical module testing is the key of BOB technology.At present ONU system generally uses the Linux operating system, this paper proposes a new Linux system development method of optical module debugging interface, PC software call interface, complete ONU system glazing module commissioning. And the traditional optical module method than the test, this method will be integrated the optical module debugging into ONU equipment debugging, omitted in the production process of debugging optical module alone. At the same time, while the traditional optical module testing need developing test board, and test board is not versatile, but with BOB technology the optical module of debugging method only need software investment, and the bottom the I"C driver and the I2C reading and writing software is versatile, for different optical module, just need to modify the upper machine test software.PC software test system,based on this test method has been used in BOB production line,based on BOB techology. The system is stable and reliable, and the test software has the characteristics of production management requirements, such as the reliability, efficiency, and automation etc.This paper’s mainly work will focus on the following aspects:1. Study of ONU structure and optical module structure, based on BOB technology, design a feasible optical module testing scheme and test system;2. Study8472protocol and optimize the MCU code of optical module, make it more efficient to monitor BOSA’s work state, real-time read8472agreement about five monitoring quantity, and provide interface for PC test;3. Study communication mode of the PC, the machine, write communication interface, which is needed in the test system;4. Test the optical module testing system, and get its performance, accurate, efficiency, intelligence assessment, points out the advantages and disadvantages and provide improvement suggestions;...
