Receiving module and transmitting module are important composing parts of communication equipments.The technical specifications are important parameters of communication equipments.And the speed of testing all technical specifications is of great significance for module production process.Traditional testing methods have some disadvatages,such as low effiency and long testing time etc.In order to deal with all these problems,we use a certain model of automatic test system as the engineering background,which developed to test receiving / transmitting module,and developed a corresponding test strategy for this special model in this thesis.This test stragety is used for automatically testing the excitation module,the power amplifier module and the receiving module more quickly,and provide the basis for the researching and testing for the module.The test strategy is coded in the LabWindows platform.With the help of virtual instrument technology,this stragety successfully achieved the traditional manual test methods.Besides,this stragety has cut down the test time,and reduced the error caused by mannal operation errors.Thus the test accuracy has been improved.The main work is as follows:1.The main testing purpose of the excitation module is its frequency conversion effiency,such as frequency conversion time,waveform characteristic measurement etc.This thsis analyzed all the details of all the test items,and selected proper testing instruments for each item.The testing instruments are selected by the combination of the measurement accuracy and the test range of the instrument.Then based on the characteristics of the test items,we developed the test strategy in single / continuous mode.2.The testing focus of the power amplifier module is the degree of the amplification,such as output power test,transmit power,emission spectrum test and so on.According to the special functioning features of the amplifier module,which are uncontinuous function mode and high output power,the test strategy will provided signal compensation for the input of the testing instruments.And the test stragety is strictly coded by the testing conditions and the accuracy of the instruments.3.Filtering capability and function range are testing cores of the receiving module,such as gain characteristic test,anti-aliasing test,out-of-band signal characteristic,channel delay characteristic and so on.In order to find the optimal input signal,so stragety needs to chang input signal frequency or amplitude,thus the test stragety has divided some intervals of the steps to shorten the test time.4.The code of the system self-test.In order to ensure the correctness of the system,the system needs to self-test before using.The code is completed by the use of the SCPI instruction that provided by the instrument manufacturerThe test strategy designed in this thesis has successfully completed all the test items of the excitation module,the receiving module and the power amplifier module,and has reached the precision requirement of each test item and improved the testing efficiency.
