| Product Lifecycle Management（PLM）reflects the requirements ofinformation sharing and mutual operation of enterprises or betweendifferent enterprises which will enable the manufacturing enterprises tochange the organization management methods, reduce product cost, improvequality, shorten the time to market sales and strengthen thecompetitiveness. The objective of product lifecycle modeling is todescribe the product lifecycle data and their relationships to realizebetter Product Lifecycle Management. The models of product lifecycleinclude many aspects, it is necessary to find a way for people toautomatically build these models and storage their relationships. It willenable the manufacturing industry to consider all the overall constraintconditions and have a better understanding of users’ requirements andto meet their requirements. With the study background of PLM system which is based on product datamodeling, this essay probes deeply into the modeling technologies ofproduct models facing product lifestyle. Finally, by means of successfulimplementation of PLM system with a basis of product modeling in thecompany, the feasibility and efficiency of this essay will be proved.The main study content includes:(1) With the Product Lifecycle Management（PLM）as the starting point,considering information requirements of different phases, using themethod of data modeling, adopting Unified Modeling Language (UML) todescribe product information of each phase, models of concept producing,design, purchasing, production, sales and service will be built.
