Chu culture is a kind of local culture that forms and develops over the land of Jingchu. Itnot only absorbs the advantages of other cultures but also keeps its own unique cultural formsand features. In ancient times, Chu culture has dominated in the southern region for a longtime, which has constituted important parts of Chinese traditional culture by the constantspread and diachronic development on all regions. With Chupeople’s arduous struggle, it waspushed up continually to its climax by the efforts made by generation after generation. Finally,it was known for distinctive characteristics, unique style and powerful influence on the world.But in modern, Chu culture has not been paid enough attention by the whole society, andowing to the regional limits, its communication conditions makes a person anxious as to thefact that many precious Chu culture results is disappearing gradually for the lack of attentionand protection.Fortunately, the birth and development of electronic information technology,which is a center with the network, has provided a new platform forChu culturecommunication and it would consequentially have a great influence on the inheritance andtranscendence in Chu culture. Under macro environment of the network, how should Chuculture do to adapt to the great changes of contemporary and modern mass media and adjustits communication strategies, aiming to face the emergent survival challenge and seek afurther development, which has become the common topic among Chu culture experts.This subject is composed of five chapters. The first part is an exordium, whichsummarizes the results of former’s research, finds the shortage and introduces the researchbackground, research methods and innovation.The second part is to introduce the connotationof Chu culture, makes a definition to Chu culture, summarizes several main forms that hasexperienced from ancient times to now, and points out the three meanings of Chu culturecommunication as follows: enhances Chinese culture soft power; promotes the protection ofthe Intangible Cultural Heritage of Chu culture;improves Image Establishment of Hubeiprovince.The third part introduces the development status of network and five characteristicsof internet communications. It lays special stress on the great changes of Chu culturecommunication brought by internet, which includes many aspects such as communicationchannel, communication environment, scope of acceptor and interactive communication.These changes make it possible for the large-quantity and wide-range of Chu culturecommunication in this new era. The paper’s key point and innovative section is the fourth andfifth parts. The fourth part analyzes the Chu culture’s communication of types, constituent andfeatures.According to different founders, the website used in Chu culture communication canbe classified into three types: the government website, the traditional media website and thecommercial website. It also analyzes the attitude and achievement of these websites on Chuculture communication through some typical cases. By this the readers understand the presentsituation of Chu culture communication in the network and the true question which it meets.Inthe last part, the paper explores how to excavate potential of network to communicate Chu culture under the existing condition while admits that Chu culture is facing with the survivaldilemma. In that case, it can expand the sound and restore the prestige of Chu culture thereby.It brings out a precise localization of internet communications of Chu culture is to show thecharm of Chu culture. This paper also emphasizes that we should find a route to pay attentionto integrate the media resources, built network bases and boost up the communicationconsciousness. In methodology, what is more, we should make full use of human cooperation,attach importance to collaboration among medium, strengthen the communication of specialtopic and organize activities outside network.
