In recent years, food safety is more common everyday, for Chinese students,elementary students who have seen little of the world and lack of food safety knowledge, food safety problem have brought about perils to physiological and psychological health of children. Because health education is an important part for the students’ physical and mental development. Sometimes, it is the key stage for students forming good habits. Therefore, this paper take Shang Cheng as an example to explore food safety educational problems of elementary students, then relative suggestion are given to improve the effect of primary food safety.Through literature research and questionnaire method(students, teachers volume)of Shang Cheng six primary schools to research and explore those students’ food safety knowledge, attitude and behavior. According to the students’ volume, we can gain the following conclusion:(1)The elementary students of Shang Cheng have a low awareness of food safety and accurate behavior rate.(2)With the rising of grade level,the knowledge of pupils is also rising.(3)The higher the educational level of parents,the higher knowledge rate and behavior formation rate.(4)There are some distances in food safety knowledge, safety consciousness and behavior formation rate between urban areas and the rural villages.(5)Broadcast and TV, parents and teachers(12.6%)are the main channel to acquire food safety knowledge for primary students. According to the survey of teachers’ volume: those schools ignore students’ food safety education to some extent, at the same times, who hasn’t set up special course and teachers, and most are told in the form of spoken language.Through studying the food safety education ways and means of acquiring knowledge, the author learned that family, school and society all have some dominant problems in this process: firstly, the lack of family education; secondly, the insufficient school education; thirdly, not enough social attention. However, the law rate of food safety knowledge and behavior formation is not from the school, society and home education, but also comes from themselves. In order to enhance the degree of foodsafety knowledge, and cultivate a positive attitude, then form healthy eating habits. So carrying out the primary food safety education is unstoppable. In the end, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:(1)In terms of family, parents need have enough food safety concepts, then they need set an example to influence children subtle.(2)In the aspect of school, according to the students’ age, grade and behavior characteristics of children, strengthening the relative education and take flexible teaching content and ways; taking the food safety education with physical course,biological course and social course to facilitate pupils’ understanding and exploration.Moreover, we also need strengthen the food safety propagandist education to eliminate safe hidden trouble surrounding campus environment, etc.(3)In social level,establishing special educational law system and putting the food safety education into the formal school curriculum plan.(4)In the individual level, the pupils need improve self-control ability and resist the temptation and look for positive peer relations to develop healthy eating habits.
