Study On The Status Quo And Countermeasures Of The Loss Of Students Of The Secondary Vocational Education

In recent years, vocational education has a rapid development with the support of our policies.It provided great quantity of skilled talents for the development of China socialist construction and national economy. The development of secondary vocational education comes with many problems especially the loss of students. Reducing the loss of vocational school students has become the primary problem the vocational schools faced to.The author investigated several secondary vocational schools in Jilin Province.The results showed that the loss of students in secondary vocational schools were serious.This phenomenon of loss had a negative impact on development of secondary vocational education and restricted improving the quality of labor.In a sense, the loss of students maybe a security risk to the social.In the course of the investigation, the author interviewed with secondary vocational school’s leadership, the head teachers and professional teachers also questionnaired some head teachers to sum up the reasons of the loss.The reasons of students,such as students have no interests in learning and no learning objectives, the students own psychological reasons.The reasons of schools, including the inappropriate enrollment information is difficult to guarantee the quality of students. The teachers have no intention to work leads to the failure student management.The contradiction between school facilities and educational philosophy.Family causes,such as the parents’ misunderstanding of vocational education,family financial difficulties, parents’ neglect to discipline and low expectations.Social causes, including the community existence of errors of vocational education,the temptation of negative phenomen,Occupation Qualification don’t complete,college enrollment leads to the students crisis.According to the survey,the author proposed some strategies to control the loss of students in vocational schools.The strategies consists of many aspects,such as society, schools,families and students themselves.I hope these strategies can play an active role in controlling the problem,thus promoting the vocational education have a steady and sustainable development.
