With the development of rural secondary vocational education,it is facing increasingly severe survival dilemmas in recent years.The traditional concept of Chinese society regards vocational education as "second-rate education" "third-rate education",which makes the development of vocational education difficult,especially in rural areas.The phenomenon " hard to recruit,easy to lose,hard to send" of students in rural secondary voc ational schools is very serious.The flow of students into the society without mastering certain survival skills will have a serious impact on the country,society,school,family and even themselves.Therefore,this study has certain theoretical and practi cal significance.This article takes G secondary vocational school in rural areas of Hunan Province as an example.Through the author’s many years of work as a counselor and frontline teacher in the secondary vocational school,and assisted in the promotion of local vocational education,the author understands the development status of " hard to recruit,easy to lose" in the rural secondary vocational school to a certain extent.The loss of students has been a particular concern of G school leaders.It is al so a difficult problem that has long troubled the head teacher’s work.The paper first explains the reasons for choosing the topic.The loss of students restricts the development and progress of rural secondary vocational schools,but also restricts the development of social economy and the overall improvement of comprehensive quality.This paper explains the background and significance of the research,through literature analysis to understand the current situation of rural secondary vocational schools.Defines the concept of secondary vocational students and student’s loss.Expounds the thoughts and methods used in the research.This paper through the literature material law,questionnaire survey method,interview method and so on of G school students in gr ade 2013 to 2017 in 2013 to 2019,during the loss of an in-depth investigation,understand G loss of status of rural secondary vocational school,analysis the characteristics: the loss of G school boys is higher than girls,mostly from poor families,the regular time of loss,different major or different class teacher management.From five aspects of themselves,family,school,society,secondary vocational education system in this paper to analysis the reasons of loss:the student own understanding insuffic iency,poor cultural basis and the lack of independent,induced by friends;Related to family economy and structure;It is related to false propaganda,curriculum setting,teacher team building,student management and employment.And the secondary vocational education system is not perfect.And finally,from the government,families,schools,secondary vocational education system puts forward six aspects such as to solve the problem of rural secondary vocational school students’ loss status: change the traditio nal ideas,increase investment in country,improve the system of enterprise employee;Strengthen parent-school communication,update parents’ educational concept,and strengthen parents’ sense of responsibility;Carry out education and teaching reform in an all-round way and improve the quality of education and teaching;Strengthen employment guidance and carry out entrepreneurship education;Integrate local rural industrial resources,set up characteristic specialties to develop vocational education in rural areas;Construct scientific secondary vocational system and enhance the attraction of secondary vocational education.
