By present, the high school ancient poetry teaching was in dilemma: The teacher was tired of teaching while the student hate learning. It is believed that current situation was a result of our teachers ignoring the particularity of poetic language, and not realising the importance of poetic language teaching. Therefore, to improve the current teaching dilemma and enhance poetic language teaching efficiency, emphasising on poetic language teaching has become a must. Based on the current teaching situation, this paper will focus on the research of high school ancient poetry teaching and discuss the main course of ancient poetic language teaching from the perspective of linguistics, and take PEP(compulsory) for example to analyse its Linguistic characteristics and distribution. By analysing the ancient poetry language, wish this paper can help our teacher and student has a better understanding and learning about ancient poetry language.
