| Objective:To meet the oldest old, disabled elderly and elderly chronic diseases patients’ medical-nursing needs, to understand and promote the development of Medical-Nursing Combined Mode in Jiangsu Province and even all over China, basic situation and stability of doctors, nurses and care workers as well as satisfaction of occupants in two pension institutions of Nanjing which have executed the aforementioned pension model on a trial basis are empirically investigated by statistically analyzing relevant literature. Multiple areas like Xuzhou, Nantong, Changzhou and Taizhou where the above pension model hasn’t been formally implemented are explored from the perspective of young and middle-aged people, the elderly’s desires for old-age support and cognition of Medical-Nursing Combined Mode, in order to know about residents’ current desires for old-age support and promote the development of Medical-Nursing Combined Mode. Finally, to explore the feasibility of the combination of medical care and pension in Jiangsu Province, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for developing the model to provide guidance for further related research, in order that better and faster development can be achieved in the pension model.Method:Under the analysis of software Noteexpress3.0, Excel 2007, SPSS20.0, 505 scientific articles in this discipline published during 2005-2015 were analyzed by the basic principles and concepts of bibliometrics as well as mathematical and statistical methods. The survey was be done through deep takings and answering questionnaires among staff including doctors, nurses and care workers, who are come from Rehabilitation Care Center of Chenguang Hospital (84 cases) and Happy Time Elderly Apartment (168 cases), and 676 cases of middle-aged people and elderly were surveyed randomly from public hospitals or the nursing home in Xuzhou, Nantong, Changzhou and Taizhou. Moreover, data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis.Result:(1) Managers and researchers attached increasing importance to combination of medical care and pension in recent years, while researchers are loose in structure and the fund projects of combination of medical care and pension are insufficient. (2) 95.0% of the elderly considered the Rehabilitation Care Center Chenguang Hospital to be very satisfactory or satisfactory, especially the doctor’s professional skills and service. This kind of medical model should be promoted in the foundation of fixed staff. However,91.0% of the elderly considered Happy Time Elderly Apartment to be very satisfactory or satisfactory, especially the nurse’s professional skills and service. (3) Compared with desires for old-age support in Nantong, Changzhou and Taizhou, economic factors have critical influence on the choice of traditional nursing institutions for the senior. (4) People have a low awareness to Medical-Nursing Combined Mode with 87.12% respondents having a little or even no knowledge of the mode. Under the level of 0.05, people’s cognition and desires to Medical-Nursing Combined Mode, its expense standard and other economic factors will have statistical significance. (5) The main influencing factors of the young and middle-aged people’s willingness to entering Medical-Nursing Combined Institution were residence, the number of children and cognition of Medical-Nursing Combined Mode.Conclusion:Occupants of two pension institutions are relatively satisfied with the Medical-Nursing Combined Mode, which is a long-term measure for solving problems concerning aging population, especially support for the disabled elderly of Jiangsu Province. Thus, it is necessary and feasible to promote this model in Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, there are difficulties such as incomplete policies and lack of nursing personnel in this mode. To help further enhancing the level of Medical-Nursing Combined Mode and the academic influence of this discipline, following recommendations were made:(1) Led by government, all cities shall strengthen research on policies according to their practical situation. The elderly are disparate in their economy and usually facing a poor economic condition, so the government should make full use of the multiple pension model which is based on the Home-Care and developed by the Community-Care, and establish a comprehensive old-age security service system with multi-choice and multi-grade so that they can further strengthen publicity and developing of Medical-Nursing Combined Mode and meet the nursing needs of oldest old, disabled elderly and elderly chronic diseases patients’ desires.(2) The government should focus on talent team construction to ensure a healthy, stable and wonderful progress of the Medical Care-Pension model.(3) It is necessary to promote research on co-morbidity of the elderly, strengthen health management and lower the incidence of disability for them.(4) It is important to improve the young and middle-aged people’s desires to Medical-Nursing Combined Mode when government put forward to relevant policies.(5) Governments of various regions should reinforce the policy study and improve the fund support. Researchers of related fields should intensify the investigation analysis based on the theoretical study and make standard research contents for standardizing the intervening measures.(6) Efforts shall be made to coordinate development plans and adjust development strategies. On the basis of completely understanding situation of Jiangsu Province and all of its cities, attempts shall be made to facilitate and improve the construction of urban and rural senior care organizations, actively explore the Medical-Nursing Combined Mode that combines home-based, community-based and institution-based care services for the elderly, and integrate care services for the disabled with the support for healthy old people according to actual situation of different areas for the final purpose of healthy aging. |
