Objective: To investigate the relation ship between Helicobacter pylori infection and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods: The survey was conducted in 2323 subjects selected from The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University who did the C13/C14-urea breath test and Type-B ultrasonic between May 2012 to May 2014.Based on the diagnostic criteria of NAFLD,the subjects were divided into two groups : NAFLD group(n=860),normal control group(n=1463).Beside the helicobacter pylori infection,we also collected the condition of age, sex, smoking or not,BMI and blood fat. Then the related data were analyzed. Results: The total H.pylori infection rate of two groups was 52.0%.The H.pylori infection rate of NAFLD group was 54.9%.It was higher than that of control group( ? 2=2.10; P= 0.036).In the NAFLD group,Logistic regression analysis showed that H.pylori infection has no effect on NAFLD.The level of TG、LDL、BMI were closely associated with the NAFLD.Also smoking, age and sex are affecting NAFLD.Conclusion: The H.pylori infection was not the risk factors for NAFLD.They two have no correlation.
