Analysis Of Efficacy Of Radiofrequency Therapy Combined With Ozone Injection In The Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Protrusion

Objective: To observe the efficacy of radiofrequency therapy combined with ozone injection in the treatment of lumbar disc protrusion.Methods: Analyzing 202 lumbar disc herniation patients from June 2009 to May 2013 in our department. According to the operative methods, they were divided into three groups: Radiofrequency group(RF), ozone group(Oz), and combination group(Co).According to Visual Analogue Score VAS, Macnab evaluation(observation indexes includes the efficiency, and the excellent and good rate) and the Oswestry disability index(the Oswestry disability index ODI), three groups of patients with postoperative1 D, 1M, 6m, 12 m clinical curative effect were observed and compared.Results: In the RF group, ozone group and radiofrequency ablation combined with ozone group, the comparative among gender ratio, age, course of disease, preoperative VAS score and preoperative ODI score were no significant(P>0.05). The Radio frequency(RF) group or ozone group were compared with radiofrequency ablation combined with ozone group, the differences among the VAS score after 1d, 1M, 6m,12 m, the excellent and good rate after 1m, 6m, and postoperative 1m, 6m, 12 m ODI score 12 M, were no statistical significance(P>0.05). Ozone or RF group were compared with radiofrequency ablation combined with ozone group, the difference between the two groups in postoperative 1D, 1M, 6m, 12 m VAS score, postoperative1 m, 6m, 12 M, the excellent and good rate had statistical significance(P < 0.05), the difference in effective rate in the postoperative 1m, 6m, 12 m of were no statistical significance(P > 0.05); the difference between the two groups in postoperative 1m, 6m,12m in ODI score had statistical significance(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The therapy of radiofrequency combined with ozone injection is an efficient and mini-invasive technique for the treatment of lumbar disc protrusion and worth promoting. This technique is worthy of clinical application of minimally invasive interventional technique.
