ObjectiveThrough investigation and analysis of different characteristics of the personality, thinking style and core ability to understand and analyze the different sections of the post, nursing ages, education level, professional title of nursing staff in personality, thinking style and core ability and their specific. In addition, identifying its situation of comprehensive quality level and analyze its relevance. Aiming at having scientific evaluation of the personality, thinking style and core ability of the group to formulate and implement the nursing management system, to improve the "person- post matching" degree and to guide the nursing continuing medical education and career planning. MethodWe used self-made general information questionnaires, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire short form scale Chinese Version(EPQ-RSC), thinking styles inventory table(Thinking Styles Inventory(TSI) and China registered nurse core competence evaluation quantity scale(CIRN) to investigate 600 participants whom conform to the standard of the nurses in a three level of first-class hospital of Liaoning Province which follow the principle of informed consent and voluntary participation after exclusion of nursing who dispute and accident or work under the post adjustment of nurses within six months and three months, then put qualified questionnaire into database to analyze by using SPSS21.0. According to the EPQ-RSC, CIRN and TSI method, the score and dimension were divided, then a comprehensively evaluation and description of the distribution characteristics of the corresponding index were conduct according to the results. The measurement data were described by the mean ±standard deviation, and the t test or analysis of variance was used in comparison between groups. The rate and composition ratio of count data were described and the rank sum test of multiple independent samples and c2 test were used to compare groups. Influencing factors of core competence were analyzed based on multiple linear stepwise regression. Results(1)In personality measurement, there were differences in different T regional score in E and N positions in the amount of EPQ scale among different department of nursing staff(c2=10.91, P=0.03; c2=18.82, P=0.002), indicating positions in different department of nursing staff had different internal and external tilt direction and neural quality. However, nursing age, education level and different titles of nursing staff in the dimension of E, N and P of different T divided regional score were not statistically significant(P>0.05).(2)In the measurement of style of thinking, nursing staff in different departments in the trial type ideological style(F=2.81, P=0.02), nursing staff in different nursing age in local style of(F=2.54, P=0.04), nursing staff in different education level in enforcement, external and free thinking style were significantly different(t=-3.60, P<0.001; t=-2.35, P=0.02; t=-2.81, P=0.005); Autocratic type, equal competition, no government type, the whole type, local introverted and conservative style score differences of nurses with different professional titles of rank were statistically significant(P<0.05); There were more nurses in the outside, grade and law enforcement type, but fewer in the equal competition, autocratic and anarchist type.(3)There was no significant difference in the core competence of the nurses in different departments, but we found significant difference in the level of core competence of research estimation, clinical care, leadership, interpersonal relationship, legal practice, professional development, education consultation and total score among nurses with different nursing ages, different education level and professional development(P < 0.05). The higher the nursing age, the higher the level of core competence of the various dimensions and the ability kept to balance in 21 years of nursing age. Undergraduate nurses in legal practice, professional development and education consulting dimension scores were higher than junior college nurse. The core competence of nurses in all dimensions was related to the level of professional title.(4)In the multiple linear stepwise regression analysis, the core competence score was the dependent variable whereas age, gender, occupation, nursing age, educational level, title and thinking style of each dimension score were independent variables, by introducing a variable alpha 0.05, eliminated variable 0.10 level. Results showed that there was a linear regression relationship between the law enforcement type, grade, trial, introverted, aggressive type and nursing age and core competence score. We got the following multiple regression equation: core ability score =39.806+0.284×law enforcement type+0.112 × trial type+0.119 × rank type-0.233 × introversive type +0.183×radical type+0.146×nursing age. Among them, the type of law enforcement thinking was the major factor, followed by aggressive thinking, nursing age and rank and trial type. In addition, the introverted thinking showed negative correlation with core competence. Conclusion(1) The nurses in operating room, surgery, intensive care unit were tend to have extraversion character while emotional stability of nurses in emergency department, operating room and internal medicine was the highest. Trial type thinking style of nurses in ICU, internal and surgical was the most significant.(2) Among nursing staff with different nursing ages, with the continuous growth of the age, the core ability was continuous enhancing while the local mode of thinking was continuous weakening.(3) Among different educational levels of nursing staff, the score of law enforcement type, extroversion and free thinking style were higher in bachelor degree nurses and the core competence of nurses with junior college education was the highest.(4) Among nurses with different professional titles, the thinking style was different. What’s more, the higher the title, the higher the core competence.(5) Type of law enforcement, radical type, rank type, trial type and nursing age can promote the core competence while introverted thinking hindered the demonstration of core competence.(6)Nurses should be allocated to the corresponding department according to the corresponding personality characteristics. What’s more, nurses with longer nursing ages should be selected to care for patients with acute and severe condition. Management work can be carried out by the nursing staff with bachelor degree, and the specific clinical work can be carried out by junior college nurses. Deploy the nursing staff with law enforcement, aggressive, hierarchical and trial thinking style to relatively heavy responsibility nursing posts.
