Clinical Efficacy Evaluation Of Mountain Fire Method On Bladder Meridian Points To Treat Lumbar Disc Herniation By Liver And Kidney Yin Deficiency

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Mountain Fire Method on points Shenshu(BL23^ Dachangshu(BL25) and Zhibian(BL54) to treat Lumbar Disc Herniation (LDH) by liver and kidney yin deficiency. Through the study of traditional technique playing a part in the process of treating LDH, clinical workers should attach the importance to traditional acupuncture reinforcing and reducing method. It can make better on clinical applied to traditional technique, to further explore the advantage of acupuncture traditional technique on treatment.Methods:90 LDH by liver and kidney yin deficiency patients, coincident with standards, were randomly assigned to test group and control group, each group had 45 cases. The acupuncture major points in test group were points Shenshu、Dachangshu and Zhibian, which were setting Mountain Fire Method until patients feeling hot or hemp on affected limb, with warm acupuncture on Yaoyangguan(DU3) point; Acupoint Weizhong(BL40) and acupoint Chengshan(BL57) were auxiliary point selected, which were setting normal reinforcement and normal reduction method. The control group chose the same major points and auxiliary point as the test group, and with the same setting method on auxiliary point but normal reinforcement and normal reduction method on major points. Acupuncture treatment was given once a day in two groups, the time for a course of treatment is ten days. Comprehensive assessment standard of Visual Simulation Scale (VAS), low back pain disorders of JOA,36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36) were used to observe and compare the improvement of pain and quality of life.Results:1. The total effective rate and efficiency and cure rate were 97.62% and 71.43% in the test group, and 87.80%、43.90% in the control group. The rate of curative effect in the group was better than that of control group. The former was better than the latter. The difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).2. After treatment, the JOA score of the two groups increased obviously, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). Two compared, the curative effect of test group was better than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). The test group improved more obvious in low back pain. Improvement rate of test group was significantly higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).3. The post-treatment VAS score of the two groups decreased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).Compared between two groups, the analgesic effect value of former group was superior to the latter, there was a significant difference between two groups (p<0.05).Compared with the control group, the test group could reduce pain obviously.4. After treatment, the physiological function (PF), role-physical (RP), body pain (BP), vitality (VT), role-emotional (RE), mental health (MH) in test group were markedly improved than before, but there were no significant increase in General health (GH) and social function (SF).The physiological function, role-physical, body pain, vitality, role-emotional in control group were markedly improved than before, but there were no significant increase in General health, social function and mental health. Compared between two groups, The quality of life improvements of physiological function, body pain, vitality, role-emotional and mental health in test group were increased obviously than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05).But the quality of life improvements of role-physical, General health and social function were no significant difference in efficacy, the effect of the two groups was similar.Conclusion:1.The clinical effect of Mountain Fire Method on points Shenshu、Dachangshu and Zhibian to treat LDH by liver and kidney yin deficiency had an advantage than traditional acupuncture method.2.Mountain Fire Method can obviously improve function, decrease pain and improve life quality of LDH by liver and kidney yin deficiency. And it is worth spreading in treatment of LDH in clinic.
