Clinical Research On Acute Ankle Sprain Treated By Massage Therapy With Huoxue Zhitong Ointment

Research purpose: on the basis of clinical research, this thesis aims to observe clinicaleffects of massage with ointment in the treatment of acute ancle sprain and explore itseffect mechanism.Research method: in this thesis,64cases of acute ankle sprain sufferers were selectedand divided into treatment group and control group in an even manner, with the formerreceiving the treatment of massage therapy with ointment and the latter taking traditionalmassage only. During the first visit, as well as the subsequent visits on the3rd,6thand10thday, clinical indexes were recorded in terms of pain, tenderness, swelling and movementdisturbance; moreover, improvements were assessed as well for both groups as to thesymptoms before and after the treatment.Research results: after treatment, the group treated by massage therapy with ointmentreached an efficiency of87.5%, while the number for the other group was62.5%. Asignificant difference can be found between the two groups (P＜0.05), with the treatmentgroup better than the control group. In terms of improvements of symptoms and treatmenttime of the sufferers, the two groups differ with each other remarkably as well (P＜0.05),with the treatment group better than the control group.Research conclusions: massage therapy with ointment can positively bring curativeeffect for acute ankle sprain without toxic or side effects. It is more accessible to sufferersand worthy of wide promotion.
