Objective:This study aims to establish a bundle of intervention strategies to prevent catheter associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) which is baseded on evidence and suitable for the nursing situation of our country. It is used to guide clinical nursing, so as to reduce the incidence of CAUTI, save medical cost and shorten the length of hospital stay, and provide a reference for nursing quality assessment and monitoring for all levels of hospital. Methods:This study established the intervention strategies to prevent CAUTI on the basis of evidence and Delphi method. First through systematically review and evaluate the literature at home and abroad, using expert panel discussion, the research drew up the preliminary intervention strategies to prevent CAUTI. Then by2rounds of expert consultations and using expert positive coefficient, authority coefficient, variation coefficient, Kendall concordance coefficient and other indicators, it carried out a statistical analysis on the result of the consultation. Eventually a bundle of evidence-based intervention strategies to prevent CAUTI which was suitable for the nursing situation of our country was established. Results:A bundle of intervention strategies to prevent CAUTI was established,including4dimensions (assessment, catheterization, sustained attention and maintenance, management and monitoring),48items(specific intervention strategies),8notes (additional description for one item). It also marked the evidence-based level and quality for each item. The positive coefficients of the2rounds of expert consultations were94.55%and92.31%; The expert authority coefficients were0.835and0.853. After the second round of consultation, the variation coefficients of importance of all items ranged from0to19.88%; those of operability of all items ranged from1.42%to23.36%. After the second round of consultation, the Kendall concordance coefficients of importance and operability were0.301and0.232.Conclusions:A bundle of intervention strategies to prevent CAUTI which was baseded on evidence and suitable for the nursing situation of our country was established. With2rounds of Delphi consultation, expert positive coefficients, authority coefficients, variation coefficients, Kendall concordance coefficients and other statistical indicators showed that the results were reliable.
